The Ventura 3-Wheel scooter from Drive Medical is not only a pleasure to drive, but is stylish as well. Simple controls and tight turning radius make it easy to navigate indoor or outdoor.
With an impressive 350 pound weight capacity, a driving range of 15 miles and reaching speeds of up to 4 MPH, which is twice the normal walking speed, Drive Medicals Ventura 3-Wheel mobility scooter is a great choice for people needing assistance getting around both indoors and out. The smart design allows you to nimbly maneuver through obstacles in the home or at other places such as the store. The 25" width and 48" length means you'll be unobtrusive even in a crowded area.
Drive Medical has managed to include a lot of features at a low price. For starters, there are the interchangeable color panels which give you the option of changing the look of your scooter easily. For comfort, this scooter offers four height adjustments to the seat. The padded armrests are also adjustable for both width and height, or can be removed entirely if that's what you would like. The angle of the delta tiller can be changed giving you the ability to place the controls in a position that is most comfortable to you. Adding to the comfort of the controls is their ergonomic design which is very helpful for users with limited strength or dexterity. Anti-tip wheels add safety and security, while a large front basket adds to the ease of use.
The Ventura 3-Wheel mobility scooter is available as either a standard model or DLX model. The DLX model includes 36AH batteries which increase the maximum driving range to 22 miles. You are also given the choice of a captains seat width of either 18" or 20" which swivels, folds down and also includes a height adjustable headrest. This model also includes a full lighting package with a headlight, rear parking lights, and both front and rear turn signals. Optional accessories for both the standard and DLX model include a crutch/cane holder, rear basket, scooter cover, armrest bag, drink holder and an oxygen cylinder tank holder.
This is a very well-built mobility scooter. I can't help but to give it five stars across the board. I like the added accessories (headlight and turn signals), it truly feels like a quality build, it's very easy to use and to navigate tough corners.
Pros & Cons
Comfy Seat and Ride
The reason I gave it a 4 star rating for satisfaction is that it's a little too low to the ground. I understand that a three wheeler needs a lower center of gravity, but I feel like it could've been made at least an inch higher to get more bottom clearance for going over obstacles.
