This peppy 3 wheeler is a mid-sized scooter with heavy duty sized capacity. The 500 lb weight limit and 23 mile range, make this an ideal choice for the outdoor lover.
The ActiveCare Prowler 3-Wheel is designed for long hours outside. The sleek Metallic Gray body with its 26" width is narrow enough to be unobtrusive in a crowd, while the adjustable speed control lets you keep just the right pace. No one will have to slow down for you either with its impressive 7 mph max speed, and with a range of 23 miles you won't have to stop early. Adding to this concept is a powerful 4350 RPM motor which allows you to climb inclines up to 12 degrees. Both front and rear wheel suspensions make for a smooth ride, and a safe one too. The anti-tip wheels come equipped with 12" pneumatic tires, and the braking system includes both an electromagnetic brake as well as a hand drum brake.
ActiveCare has loaded this mobility scooter with plenty of features which come standard with this model. For comfort, they have included a 20" foldable captains seat which swivels a full 360 degrees and includes a headrest. The padded armrests flip up to allow easy access both onto and off of the scooter. The Delta tiller comes complete with an ergonomic handle with a place to rest your wrists for those who have limited hand dexterity, and is adjustable to any height for ease of use and comfort. The foot area is also nice and large compared to many others which is an added bonus! Headlight, tail light, rear view mirrors, turn signals, horn and a reverse signal are also standard.
Whereas getting around in public places is of obvious importance, many people overlook the basic day to day needs of getting work done around your own personal property. The people at ActiveCare have taken this into account with the Prowler 3-Wheel. Besides the front carrying basket which comes standard, the back has an accessory bracket which can be connected to a trailer or various types of lawn equipment. There are also additional rear options for help in carrying your personal items.
Pros & Cons
Goes off-road better than other three wheelers
Compared to other three wheel scooters I've owned, this one actually goes on grass without much hesitation. I wouldn't drive it through mud or snow, but other than that it does just fine.
Pros & Cons
It grows on you
When I first got this scooter I was disappointed as I though I had ordered another color. Turns out that I made a mistake in ordering. It's grown on me though since I've had it and have actually started to like it more and more.
