The Lifeline AutoAlert from Philips Lifeline is an excellent choice for anyone who is at risk of falling, has a history of falling or for any reason has a fear of falling and not being able to get back up.
Philips Lifeline offers the Lifeline AutoAlert; a fall detection device designed to automatically alert their monitoring service if you fall and do not get back up. The system includes an in-home Communicator, an AutoAlert Personal Help Button and of course access to their 24/7 U.S.-based Response Center. If you press the help button, or if the device detects a fall, a live operator will attempt to contact you through Communicator which allows for two-way communication between you and the operator. If they do not hear a response from you help will automatically be sent to make sure you are OK and assist you in necessary.
The Lifeline AutoAlert system utilizes two pieces of equipment; the Communicator and the AutoAlert Personal Help Button. The Communicator is easy to install, only requiring you to plug it in and hit a gray reset button which will prompt the unit to walk you through the setup. It features voice amplification which enables you to more easily hear the operator and also alows the operator to be better able to hear you from almost anywhere in your home. A remote call answering feature lets you answer the phone without having to get up as long as you are in the same room. The AutoAlert Help Button detects when you fall, and automatically sends a signal to the Response Center if you are unable to push the button. Designed as a necklace pendant, it is waterproof and unobtrusive to wear. As an added feature, this system automatically performs a self test regularly so you know it will always be working when you need it.
Whereas no fall detection device is 100% guaranteed to detect every fall, the Lifeline AutoAlert system from Philips Lifeline has a detection rate above 95%. They offer the most widely adopted fall detection technology in the U.S. medical alert market today. With a cell phone, you have to make sure your phone stays charged, take it out, access the dial pad and call for help, AND make sure you always have it with you which isn't possible in the shower. With this system you simply wear a pendant and push the button if you need help, unless you've fallen in which case you don't even need to do that. Help will be on the way.

FALL DETECTOR IS A GREAT OPTION
just bought one of these. thankfuly fall detection works. a good feture to have. if you are not consous you can not get help.
Phillips LifeLine with Auto Alert Fall Detection
The push button pendant works about 75% of the time. However when my mom fell while walking it didn't auto detect her fall. This feature, which you have to pay extra for is useless. My mom fell, broke her leg and laid in the floor for over an hour until I finally happen to stop by and found her. I am very dissatisfied with this service. I do NOT recommend Phillips LifeLine services. It is an expensive false sense of security!!!!!
GREAT FOR MY MOTHER
My dad died about a year ago and my brother and I were worried about my mom living by herself. My mom is on all kinds of medication and sometimes she gets dizzy and falls down. We purchased a Phlips life line alert for my mom and she has used it on multiple occasions. It has the fall detection technology so it knows she has fallen before she pushes the button.
I LOVE THE FALL DETECTION FEATURE
The fall detection feature is why I decided to get a Philips product. I had knee surgery a few years ago, and I fall frequently because my knees give out. I don’t like the fact there was an activation fee and there is no wall mounted button.
